Reasons that are delaying the launch of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2
It is a rift with Foxconn that is said to be behind the delay of next set of Apple tablets. iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 release date is pushed further due to strange reasons but seems that Apple has some issues with its iPad producing partner Foxconn that is forcing Apple to put the release of next iPads on hold.
International Business Times has reported that Apple doesn’t find Foxconn reliable after eight million users returned their iPhone 5 handsets raising scratch-prone issues. It was a huge setback for Apple that is losing its customer fast to Samsung, BlackBerry and Nokia. Foxconn has also hinted towards separation. Another reason for Foxconn parting his ways is that the Chinese manufacturer is also considering launching its wearable tech that would compete with Apple iWatch.
Foxconn works on Android handsets and it has developed an infrastructure and acquired technology required for making high-end gadgets. It is planning to launch its first device, a wearable tech, soon. Apple is also working on iWatch and after knowing that Foxconn is directly competing with iWatch, Apple sees no reason to continue business partnership with Foxconn. Who would be Apple’s new supplier isn’t known and until the new supplier is found, Apple won’t launch the new iPads.
Apple has reasons to delay the launch of iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. Earlier the tablets were scheduled to be released in August-September. Then it is said that the iPads would be announced in October. But now it seems that Apple would unveil its tablets only after finding a reliable business partner. It is a infrastructure related issue and not a technical that is delaying the launch of tablets.
